The VCU Child Development Center (CDC) is now accepting applications from Pell Grant recipients who are VCU undergraduate students with children between 16 months and 5 years of age. The purpose of this grant is to provide childcare support for VCU students to ensure their retention and persistence to graduation.

The VCU Child Development Center is a nationally accredited program and engages children in activities and experiences that help them develop cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally. All of the lead teachers hold bachelor’s degrees that include coursework in early childhood education.

The CDC is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Center provides breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. The monthly tuition rate for VCU students is $1100; however, students who receive Pell Grants will only pay $400.
