Claire McCarthy Scholarship

Established in 1964, this scholarship was created to honor Claire McCarthy, one of the first graduates of the recreation curriculum. She also served in the Richmond Department of Recreation and Parks for many years. Following her death in 1964, members of the community established this scholarship fund for outstanding recreation majors.
