Michael D. Davis Scholarship in Urban Education
The Davis Scholarship in Urban Education was established in 2012 by friends, colleagues, former students and faculty members to honor Dr. Michael D. Davis. A former professor and chair of the Department of Teaching and Learning, Davis served as interim dean at the School of Education from 2010 to 2012. He has worked at VCU for more than 30 years.

Criteria
- Must be pursuing a degree in either the Department of Teaching and Learning or the Department of Counseling and Special Education
- Must show interest in working with PreK-12 learners from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds
- Commitment to teaching in an urban setting
- Preference will be given to minority candidates
