Patricia Duncan Scholarship Fund in Reading and Language Arts

The Patricia Duncan Scholarship Fund in Reading and Language Arts is awarded to a graduate student pursuing a career in reading and language arts education. All completed applications will be forwarded to the reading program faculty for evaluation and selection. A student may be awarded the scholarship only once during his or her matriculation at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Criteria

• Must not be a previous recipient of this scholarship
• Minimum GPA of 3.5
• Must be fully admitted into the M.Ed. in Reading or the Certificate for Reading Specialist program
• Include reasons for choosing to pursue a career in reading/language arts in application essay
