Rose B. Adams Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Dr. Randy Adams to honor his late wife, Rose B. Adams. She earned her bachelor's degree in education and her master’s degree in guidance from VCU. Her career started at Nabisco, but her entrepreneurial spirit led her to open Tutti Frutti, a yogurt and sandwich shop in the 6th Street Marketplace in Richmond, Va. She later opened a second location at Innsbrook in Henrico County, Va. After running her own business, she decided to pursue a passion for education in the hope of making a difference in the lives of Richmond’s youth. She started her teaching career at the Adult Career Development Center in Richmond. Later, she served as a guidance counselor at G.H. Reid and Ginter Park elementary schools in Richmond. She was very passionate about VCU and served on both the Ram Athletic Fund board of directors and the Women’s Leadership Council.
