S. Virginia and Berta M. Newell Scholarship Fund
The S. Virginia and Berta M. Newell Scholarship Fund was established in 1989 by Dr. and Mrs. Edward Newell to honor the memory of Dr. Newell’s two sisters, Virginia and Berta Newell, who were graduates of the elementary education program at Richmond Professional Institute.
Available for:
Undergraduate and graduate students
Criteria
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Acceptance into teacher preparation program
- Plan to be enrolled full-time in an early and elementary education program
