Special initiatives
Special Initiatives funds are generally for service and research activities that connect the interests of the donor and that are integral to our mission.
Gifts to the school are "donor-driven." We encourage donors to invest or give to initiatives, programs and areas that are most important to them. While our annual fund, scholarship and professorship funds are vital, donors may have a special interest or want to address a particular need that is important to them. Some donors have established funds to assist with specific research activities, community service projects, faculty enrichment and our Richmond Teacher Residency program, to name a few.
Supporting a service-learning initiative
Investing in an initiative of special importance can have profound repercussions both in the classroom and beyond, as the example below demonstrates.
